Assign Scene Name to Clips
An Ableton Live Extension that bulk-renames Session View clips based on their scene name, track name, or both.
Context Menu Actions
Right-clicking a scene offers:
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Rename clips to scene name | Every clip in that scene row is renamed to the scene name. E.g. scene "Intro" → all clips become "Intro". |
| Rename clips to track name (scene name) | Each clip is renamed to its track name combined with the scene name. E.g. track "Bass", scene "Intro" → clip becomes "Bass (Intro)". |
Right-clicking a clip selection offers:
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Rename to scene name | Each selected clip is renamed to the name of the scene on its row. Works across multiple scenes. |
| Rename to track name (scene name) | Each selected clip is renamed to its track name combined with the scene name. E.g. track "Synth", scene "Verse" → "Synth (Verse)". |
Multi-scene selections are supported — each clip is always matched to its own scene row.
