DataMorph is an Ableton Extension for the New 12.4.5 Beta DataMorph transforms raw data images, PDFs, DMGs, EXEs, or virtually any file into generative sound material. Simply drag and drop your file into the left panel, then use the right panel to draw random shapes or trigger the randomiser. DataMorph processes these inputs using a datamoshing algorithm combined with a suite of DSP processes, including: • Frequency modulation • Phase distortion • Ring modulation • Bitcrushing • Spectral smearing • Convolution You can render the results as percussive hits or sustained digital textures, with durations ranging from 1 to 5 minutes. The extension can generate up to 10 variations. DataMorph is primarily designed for experimental sound design.
