have you ever wanted to use more than 1 external editor in your workflow and got frustrated that ableton only allowed for 1 at a time? problem solved. Add how many you want and customize the order to your liking. This started as an extension but then I realized there is a simpler way to do it and that is by making a holding app that routes ableton to the external editor you chose. So it ends up working exactly the same by pressing "edit" on a clip. The "External Editor Selector" app itself becomes the external editor and routes the clip to whichever one you select. for mac&windows although i couldn't personally test on mac but had a friend try it that said it worked for him.
