It is designed for bass exercises and soprano exercises, with a focus on functional harmony, voice leading, and late-Romantic harmonic color. The Extension reads the notes inside a MIDI clip, treats either the lowest note or the highest note at each rhythmic position as the fixed exercise line, then writes the missing voices back into the same clip.
