MEGABREAK OF DOOM GENERATOR v1.01

This is an evolution of a trick I came up with on the Octatrack about a decade ago - basically slicing multiple loops into a 'matrix' and then using a macro to cut between them instantly. You could then make intricate edits to a bunch of patterns triggering the instrument and instantly chop and change between which loop it was triggering at any point of the bar - instant jungle mayhem at the click of a button. It was always great fun but an absolute nightmare to set up. Now it works in about 3 clicks (and absolutely no physical chopping of samples, just a bit of JS calculating sample start and end points on Simpler). Setup: Put a bunch of audio loops on a track (Session or Arrangement). , Select them all and right-click > wascal: Megabreak of Doom Generator [SIMPLER] v1.0 , Pick a slice count - The extension will build the Drum Rack and a matching MIDI clip. (Nb; the shortest loop length will be used as the basis for the generated instrument.) , Follow the manual instruction step on the FINAL STEPS screen - mapping Macro 1 onto the Pitch knob (Min 0, Max = your sample count − 1) ... , Now Macro 1 hard-cuts between your sliced loops at any point in the pattern Tip: works best with loops at (or warped to) your project tempo, since slices play at the sample's native speed.
