Finding the tempo of a MIDI clip or audio file is a common problem that producers deal with almost every day. Be it a reference track, or an audio or MIDI track recorded without a metronome. ReTempo is a solution for automatic and manual BPM tempo adjustment while preserving the original tempo of the audio and MIDI clips. Something that is usually hard to get right for audio files, and even harder for MIDI clips (there is no unwarp mode for MIDI clips in Ableton Live). https://audiosina.gumroad.com/l/retempo I'm very proud of the approach I found for doing this. This might look obvious when the final product is seen, but it took a lot of designing and elaboration to achieve this simplicity. This is a workflow I have been dreaming of for years, but it is only possible now thanks to the new Ableton Live Extension SDK. Let me know if you have any questions, feature requests, problems, or suggestions! (edited) Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 3:22 AM
